Farm to Food Bank
Through Farm to Food Bank, we purchase fresh produce and proteins from local farms and farmers markets to provide healthy, locally-grown food to our neighbors facing hunger.
How Farm to Food Bank supports local families and farmers
We coordinate getting fresh food from farmers and farmers markets to food assistance providers across the region.
- Local farmers contact Manna about produce and proteins they would like to sell to Farm to Food Bank.
- We match those items to food assistance providers.
- Volunteer food runners deliver food from the farms to the identified food assistance providers.
- Families supported by providers get nutritious, locally-grown foods that support long-term wellbeing.
- We invest in infrastructure improvements (such as cold storage units, high tunnel construction, row covers, perimeter fence installation, and more) on farms to improve their capacity to support Farm to Food Bank.

Impact
Fresh fruits, vegetables, and proteins are an essential part of a healthy diet. Farm to Food Bank creates a bridge between farmers and food assistance providers (including shelters, community centers, places of worship, and schools) to get healthy foods to families facing hunger.
