Woman making donation to food drive outside grocery store

Steps for a successful food drive

  1. Decide if you want to collect food and/or monetary donations.
  2. Choose dates and length of your food drive.
Although the holidays are a popular time to host a food drive, donations are needed all year.
  3. Contact us to pick up branded donation collection boxes from our warehouse.
  4. Promote your food drive.
Create posters that include the date, drop-off location, and that the food drive will benefit Manna. You can also promote your food drive through email, social media, etc.
  5. Share our most-needed foods list to help collect healthy foods.
  6. At the end of your drive, drop off your food donations.

Food drive donations pick-up

If you collect a large amount of food (more than would fit in a minivan), we may be able to pick up your donation. Call us at 301-424-1130 to schedule a pick-up.

Collecting food or fund donations

Monetary donations are another way to help. Ninety-four cents of every dollar that is donated to Manna goes directly into programs that provide food for our neighbors in need.
